A lot can happen to a car in seven years. SkipRope was the live action partner with GlassWorks Amsterdam and Agency XXS to create a time-bending, visual demonstration in fast motion of playfully re-imagined mechanisms, simulating everyday scenarios of what a hard working KIA car would go through during an average 7 years. Then time slows down to be able to see each of the playful tests in real time in full detail.

The film is a unique mix of live action, CGI and VFX compositing, leaving the viewer guessing what is practical and what is VFX. Since SkipRope has a strong background in post production producing, we worked together with Glassworks’ trio of directors to produce a very technical and non-traditional route to tackle this complex shoot. GW created a very detailed Pre-Vis that allowed production to really plot out every shot with lighting, art direction, and camera movements.

Online from October 2019 the film has already received some signficant press from Little Black Book , Shots, and Marcom News

GW has put together a fun Making Of which dissects the complexity of the project and what is real and what isn’t.
